Annual Meeting
"2011" Annual Meeting : Gerri Griswold aka "The Bat Lady", gave a
presentation on bats, especially those in CT. She brought her friend Bugsy. 29 people attended
the meeting in the Senior and Community Center.

Story Time was held at the Library on 11/7/11 for small children,
a cooperative venture between the Library and the Land Trust.

Fall Hike
|
The Fall Hike was lightly attended, with 9 hikers taking the long route
on the Metacomet Trail from Phelps Road to Route 20, and two others who walked from Phelps
Road to the Suffield Land Conservancy's scenic overlook, and back.

Astronomy
Again this year, on Saturday August 13, there was an Astronomy program
"Night Under the Stars",at East Granby Farms park.
There was a family friendly hike at 7:00 with Ian Clark, and s'mores after the hike.
Bill Fournier (Solar System Ambassador for JPL/NASA) talked about choosing
and using inexpensive telescopes, then gave a video presentation on meteors
and meteor showers.
