2021 EGLT STEWARDSHIP CALENDAR
Enjoy the outdoors! Appreciate nature! Purposeful activity! Improve our
environment!
All this and more! Just spend two hours with EGLT stewards on wildlife habitat
projects.
Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and bring water to
drink. We will be at least six feet apart while working and will wear masks if
we need to be closer.

Notes:
- Due to COVID-19, you must bring a mask, and must wear it when close to other people.
- In case of
steady rain the event will be canceled. Otherwise, we will really
appreciate two hours of your help.
- For most of our projects you will need work clothes, boots, hat, gloves, sunscreen
and insect repellent, water to drink, and pruning shears or loppers.
- Be aware that you may encounter ticks, poison ivy,
thorny shrubs and vines.

Where the above properties are::
- Donald and Barbara Algren Preserve : This property is not immediately adjacent to any road, and is north of Route 20
and west of the Greenway. From the parking lot, walk up the Greenway until you encounter a bench on the right side just before a small bridge.
Walk to the left and watch for EGLT signs.
- Ian Clark Preserve (formerly known as Newgate Farm) : Across from 140 Kimberly Rd.
- Coppergate : This property is on Coppergate Rd, just past the driveways for numbers 4 and 2. Coppergate Rd is on the
right (east) side of Newgate Rd just north of the prison.
- Eastfield Farms : This property is located on the east side of the cul-de-sac on Wintergreen.
- Fieldstone : At the southern end of Fieldstone Dr. The path starts between the two stone blocks. Fieldstone Rd
is on the right side of Newgate Rd heading north from route 20, just past the Beacon Ridge Pet Resort and then the long low stone wall.
- Great Marsh : On both sides of the Greenway, just south of Copper Hill Road.
- Griffin Marsh : Access off Ezekiel Way, next to Holcomb St just south of route 20. Park on the immediate right on Ezekiel Way.
- Pond Meadow : Around the pond on Pond Lane. Park by the kiosk on Pond Lane.
- Seneca Corridor : Park at the end of Seneca Dr.
